With the Holiday’s quickly approaching, Qindaar decided he needed to get a place to hold those parties that people expect of a grand wizard. Qindaar purchased a nice lot at the end of the street, the address is 108 Park Place in the Veteran Crew’s neighborhood. Still fixing the place up, but drop by for a visit. A warning, the pets will bite if provoked.

A Killing Field and a Visit
Qindaar had a very busy day yesterday, in Direwood he went on a killing spree over a four hour time period must have wiped out 400 Drakin waiting for the Boss to spawn. Boss never spawned and so Qindaar will pick up the quest again today.
Last night Qindaar met up with Valmantia and Vmalice to run daily’s and then off to Tainted West Karana to finish up a quest. Qindaar managed to make twenty two percent XP on his way to level ninety two. Valmantia has been under the weather the last week or so, so game play has been minimum. Also, Vmalice and Valmantia are in a three hour earlier time zone so that presents a challenge in itself. I do appreciate their playing and help.
Today Qindaar will continue on his Shield of Otherworlds quest, which is quite involved, he is about half way through it, they trouble being getting the Boss to spawn for each required piece. Some spawn quickly while others take hours.
Shield of the Otherworld
Qindaar has been extremely busy the past two days working on this four part chain quest “Shield of the Otherword”. It has actually been quite a fun time doing this as a solo act. Killing MoB’s over and over again to get the Named MoB to spawn and take them down for the piece needed to turn in.
I believe this is the last quest in the seiries for Vergalid Mines or at least I hope so. I really do not want to have to deal with that dragon at the bottom.
Qindaar is exticed, the 17th of December is getting close and hopefully his old buddy character Daravin will make a comeback to the game. Oce that happens, he will tag along with Qindaar to gain XP and watch how the game is played.
DING! 91
Qindaar managed to move up a level last night thanks to Vmalice and his buddy Scabba, who plays a Monk. We ran the three dailies and then pummeled MoB’s in the Valley, mostly red and yellow cons to me. It was great playing with them and look forward to our next adventure.
In the mean time, Qindaar is still focused on the Hero’s progression and spending way too much time underground in the Mines of Valgrad. I think there is only one more task to do before heading off to new lands and new adventures. Qindaar shold be able to post on this tomorrow.
Have a friend here in PS that may be starting up playing an old cleric account I have somewhere around the seventeenth of this month. I hope he enjoys playing, between Qindaar and Vmalice, we run him through a few dailies and we can have him up to snuff in no time.
Still Spelunking
Qindaar is still spelunking in Velgrad. Many quests to do down here and waiting to see if one of them involves the huge dragon at the bottom of the pit of doom. Time will tell. Right now he is after a book that he has ran across many times in the past, but now that the book is needed cannot locate it anywhere. Qindaar thought this would be an easy in and out task.
As you can see in this picture, the mine is filled with these huge Golems, they are not difficult to take out but they do pack a wallop if they hit you.
Back to the search for the Ancient Tablet
Deeper and Deeper
As Qindaar ventures deeper into the mine, the difficulty is picking the MoB’s off in a group he can handle. Been finding lately that his manna pull is running out midfight, causing him to activate spells to capture manna from surroundings, this takes time and the MoB starts to regain life. Qindaar is learning to manage his manna pool better and to get close in for that melee with his Heroic Rod of Adept and the Heroic Dream Weavers Rod that diseases the attacker with a three hundred and sixty life loss point each strike.
Becoming a Real Spelunker
As Qindaar expands his travels through the mines in Sunderdock, he happens across the Temple of Zek deep in the mines. To progress any further in he has to locate the piece of shard to transform into the key to move the giant stone statue.
After killing many miners and slaves he gets the shard, transforms it into the key and enter the Pit of Doom. This is where he left off for the evening, we shall soon find out why it is the Pit of Doom. He did float down to the bottom and found a huge dragon awaiting him, from there he evac’d out to tackle this another day.
How Many Turtles???
Qindaar set out yesterday to finish the “Disrupting the Mines” task for the Hero’s Progression. Had to collect four turtle eggs. No big deal collected two yesterday right off the bat so getting four would be no problem…three hours later and only two in hand…five hours later finally had four. Qindaar cleared the zone at least eight times during that period. Got great XP, even though it was all green and light blue, but it was still XP.
Qindaar made several AA points, have 23 stacked up waiting to apply, just unsure what would be worthy of the application, again, research is needed.
Missed Vmalice last night, noticed he was online, but AFK, maybe tonight…Still waiting to see if my friend here in PS loads up EQ and brings Derevan back to life.
Qindaar also had to wade deep into Direwind last night to Ashengate. Encountered two huge Stone Guards at the gate entrance. Qindaar was invisible but checked to make sure he was not seen, but yes they could see invis and yes I was an enemy. Managed to take them both down and the nice thing was they were both Dark Blue which meant they were only one to five levels below me. Great XP there!
To finish up this Quest, Qindaar needs to venture deep into the Vergald Mines, so far nothing in there sees invis, but we shall find out today.
Looks Like Help is Needed Soon
Qindaar is really progressing up the chain of progressions, advancements etc. Starting into the level seventy plus stuff now and is leaning more on his mercenaries. Not so much for the named MoBs but for all the little stuff that comes along with it.
Just finished up a chain of task for the little guy above and venturing deeper into Direwind. Still have a mapping exploration to finish up before delving into the harder things.
I had a second account on EverQuest so I ask a good friend if he would be interested in tagging along. If he decides to, then maybe between us we will have enough to do some missions, I believe they allow Mercenaries to count. I hope he decides to play, I think between Qindaar, Vmalice and Valmantia we can get that level sixty six up to our levels or even better, if he enjoys the game we can pitch in and get him Heroic status to level eighty five, but first he has to try the game out. It would be great to have a real cleric in the group so we can use more hard hitters and not worry as much about dying.
