*** Shattering of Ro ***
Welcome to EverQuest: Shattering of Ro, the 32nd expansion for EverQuest!
Druzzil Ro is murdered! Adventurers stand accused. Rampant storms of broken magic sweep across Norrath.
Primordial tempers flare and battle lines are drawn as an enraged Solusek Ro invades the Plane of Growth. Rallos Zek and Innoruuk have already joined the invasion, but Tunare does not stand alone. Mithaniel Marr has come to her aid while Quellious seeks an altogether different alternative to war. Amidst this turmoil, the rest of the pantheon watches and waits, but there is an ominous silence from the Underfoot.
Planar conflict seems inevitable as the gods rally their allies and followers. Will you heed their call to either uncover the truth behind these catastrophic events or fan the flames of war?
– Learn new spells, combat abilities, and alternate abilities.
– Find new items and learn new tradeskill recipes.
– Explore six new zones.
– Participate in new raids and quests.

Additionally, the hate reduction component of this AA has been increased at higher ranks while the damage component has been decreased so that the hate reduction is consistently 5 times stronger.

– Ranger – Updated the Class AA, Elemental Arrow, to have a max incoming damage effect value of 12-20% at rank 13, but all ranks now include an additional flat incoming damage effect that will continue to scale with future ranks. These effects no longer increase the damage of procs.
– Rogue – Updated the Class AA, Twisted Shank, all ranks, to apply its incoming damage, poison counters, and healing reduction as a triggered spell with max values of 18-22%, 12, and -20% at rank 42 so that its DoT effect can now stack. EverQuest Updates for February 12, 2025

February 12, 2025
_____________________

*** Items ***

– Fixed an issue that was preventing augments acquired from Tides of Time from socketing into items they otherwise should have.
– Fixed an unintentional error that stripped the spell from the item Spell: Teleport.
– Adjusted chest drops in The Outer Brood missions to include a wider variety of type 5 augments.
– The Outer Brood weapon damage augments should no longer have decreasing stats after converting to their Reactive or Harmonious versions.
– Argent Whirligig Flyer Control Device should now have a levitation effect.
– Acolyte’s Assaulting Fire, Casting Fire, and Defending Fire of the Harbinger augments have received spell damage increases.
– Updated most familiar-summoning items to also cast pet illusions.
– Arrows equipped in the ammo slot that are unusable by the character are no longer effective and the character is out of ammo.
– Merchants now include deity restrictions when you ask them to ‘show only items I can use’.
– Archetype – Sympathetic Amplification – Several spell-triggered magical effects from equipped weapons and augments were missed in the initial introduction of this AA. They’ve now been updated to both receive the benefits of this AA and no longer trigger from other proc effects or twincast.
– Adjusted the luck range of newly created group and raid tradeskill items from The Outer Brood.
– The Modified Aureate Spanner’s Perform “Maintenance” description now displays without error.

*** Tradeskills ***

Now they will drop if anyone in the group (and in the zone) that gets the kill credit is on the task and has the item needed for the step (Attuned Crystal Vial or Empty Aureate Supply Pouch). Also, only a person with the required item can loot the items for the quest.
– Reduced the damage on the spells cast by most rare/named NPCs in The Outer Brood. Many were cut in half or more. A few had their durations reduced. Even fewer were altered so that their effects would work (mostly changed from instant to having a duration so effects like movement slow could have time to work). Over all, the spell damage output from these NPCs will be a lot lower.
– The Control Room mission reset is better now. The mystic will return on reset, along with the pillars.
– Purification and penance in the High Priest mission in The Outer Brood will no longer give experience for evolving items.

Erollisi Day Celebration Returns!

The Queen of Love is once again calling upon her devotees to help spread amour across the lands! You can get started by heading to the Plane of Knowledge** and seeking out the Emissary of Erollisi and Grimble Grumblemaker, who is still trying his luck at being his own matchmaker.

Don’t forget to stop by Halas, those pen pals of love have started writing their letters of besottedness, while the hate-filled denizens of Neriak have started up their letter-writing campaign of grievances against the utterly infatuated.

A quick trip to Farnjer in Misty Thicket will have you helping his best pal Rolo from getting his heart broken due to getting into the Dust of Broken Hearts. Help to allay his fears and make sure Rolo keeps his heart intact!

Farnjer in Misty Thicket

And finally, head to the Overthere and check in with Darenne K`Reil about her new treats for the celebration. The unfinished treats have been stolen and could have some bad side effects. There are three fellows that have been eyeballing her wares and she is convinced that one of them took them. Find the ne’er-do-wells and return the treats to be finished, preferably before anyone falls ill.

And let’s not forget all the Erollisi Day items on the Marketplace as well as beautiful orchids here and there!

Erollisi Day begins today and will end on February 18, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. PST. Don’t miss out on all the fun!
