Still Foraging and Grinding

2015-05-20_15-05-59Qindaar has been patiently awaiting the spawning of the Defiled Treant. Once he gets that complete he should be able to complete all tasks to finish the Shield he has been working on.  Some people complained it took five to six hours for this guy to spawn.

– Calix Quirinus (Raid) – Corrected a bug that caused messaging about Lanys’ Area of Effect attack to fail. Cut the radius of her targeted Area of Effect knockback in half.
– Calix Quirinus (Raid) – Corrected a bug that caused Arc Worker adds to change targets every 5 seconds instead of every 20 seconds as intended.

*** Spells ***

– Corrected a bug that caused adjustments to critical chance to also affect critical amount.
– Spells with ‘doom’ effects, such as Promised heals and Kron’s Maelstrom, should now stack more intelligently.

*** NPC ***

– All translocators can now see you if you are hiding or invisible.

*** AA ***

– AA abilities that place a ‘doomed’ effect on their target will now stack properly.
– Fixed a bug that allowed Enchanters to gain full control over summoned animations without purchasing the Animation Empathy AAs.
– Adjusted the way that the Eyes Wide Open line of AA abilities are granted to be more consistent between ranks. You will no longer be required to purchase any rank at a 0 cost. Additionally, all shrouds and template characters will have Eyes Wide Open granted to them innately so that all slots in the extended target window behave as expected, even in template form.

– Enchanter – Made the following adjustments to Gift of Hazy Thoughts:
— 1. Increased the proc chance from 5 to 8 percent.
— 2. The version of Chromatic Haze that is cast by Gift of Hazy Thoughts is now equivalent to rank 6 of the Chromatic Haze instead of rank 1.
— 3. The spell can now only be triggered when casting 0-duration direct damage spells with a non-zero cast time, minimum level of 85, and a mana cost

– Enchanter – Adjusted Sanguine Mind Crystal and Azure Mind Crystal in the following ways:
— 1. Summoning a Mind Crystal now has a 1 second cast time.
— 2. Summoning a Sanguine Mind Crystal now has a 5 minute recast timer.
— 3. Summoning an Azure Mind Crystal now has a 5 minute recast timer.
— 4. The Sanguine Mind Crystals summoned by the AA now share a lore group and 5 minute recast time.
— 5. The Azure Mind Crystals summoned by the AA now share a lore group and a 5 minute recast timer.
— 6. The mana cost for summoning a mind crystal is now twice the amount of hit points or mana returned by that crystal. In the case of rank 1 this is a mana cost reduction; for ranks 2-4 this is a mana cost increase.
— 7. Corrected a typo in the description for the amount of mana returned by Azure Mind Crystals.

– Monk – Restored the knockback on the spell Dragon Force. The monk skill Dragon’s Balance will now prevent Dragon Force from being cast while Dragon’s Balance Effect is active.

– Shaman – Corrected Extended Languid Bite so that it now functions as described.

– Wizard – The critical chance reduction on Arcane Fusion no longer reduces the critical damage as well.

*** Progression Servers ***

– The new Plane of Knowledge vendors that consolidate all tradeskill items have been restricted to The Darkened Sea or later.

*** Miscellaneous ***

– If you die in a load balanced instance of a zone that you are bound in, you will now respawn in your former instance instead of respawning in the base instance.
– Grouped players who are feared when an NPC that drops loot dies will now correctly see the items without having to re-login or re-zone.
– Fixed a bug with advanced looting occasionally not updating the window properly for non-master looters when an item is given to a player with many items in their shared list.
– Removed the 0.2 second weapon delay associated with using the /autofire command.
– Fixed an error that caused multiple polls to be listed in the incorrect order.

– Fixed a crash with check boxes in the advanced loot system. – Fixed a client crash involving reloading the UI and changing race.

Foraging Pine Cones

2015-05-15_14-26-25Qindaar mixed up a batch of Maggot Acid yesterday after foraging his maggots, today he is after pine cones and wheat grass. So far he has managed a diseased root.  After he gets these ingredients he heads off for a new task.

2015-05-14_13-34-26Above you see Qindaar foraging for maggots to make a maggot acid, have to be careful though and make sure you have plenty of food or you can accidentally eat a maggot, yuk. Once Qindaar makes the maggot acid he can get the rest of the ingredients to complete the task.  Since this task was linked to so many he had to do it.

Foraging

EQ 16th AnnivQindaar has been spending many hours working on foraging skills to complete a task in the Hero’s Journey Quest.  It is extremely tedious, time consuming and a waste of energy.  I tried the Bazaar for the items, but no one was selling them.  Since Maggots are both food and ingredients I figured they would be plentiful, but no way. So he will continue until he aquires four maggots.

Blackburrow Traveler

2015-04-29_15-15-59 2015-04-29_15-16-18Quidaar has been assisting the Darkpaws in returning to Blackburrow. So far he has done five tasks for them with the last one “Send a Message” by killing one of the Named MoBs.  One more to go, to rescue Guard Ellory and Qindaar will be moving on unless he decides to do a special or something.

Working Away on the Hero’s Journey Progressions

EQ 16th AnnivQindaar is still plugging away at the Hero’s Journey Progressions, currently working in Oceangreen Hills.  Looks like he will wrap that up and move to Blackburrow soon.

Qindaar also made a trip to Shard’s Landing to see how the MoB’s conned there, even at level ninety six they were still very yellow to him. He will have to get another level under his belt before he can go back and pick up where he left off in quests.

On to Oceanhill Greens

EQ 16th AnnivAfter several attempts Qindaar was unable to restart the Lost Lumpling Quest so it is now time to move on.  Look at the other tasks still in the Mech Fortress and most are for groups of three or more so they have to be aside.

Qindaar tackle three tasks already and was put on a five hour timer so decide to gate back to guild lobby and sit it out for a while.  Time will tell if OceanHill Greens is fun or not.

Frustration Arises

EQ 16th AnnivWhile Qindaar was working the Lost Lumpling Quest which is quite a complex quest, the Blood Wolf was leading Qindaar to the next clue when some fellow players mistook the Blood Wolf for a MoB and attacked and killed it.  Since then Qindaar has been unable to restart the quest.  Very frustrated, too far into it cancel it and start over he just wants to leave this zone and move on, so at this point that is what he is doing and dumping the last five quests in this series and moving on to OceanHill Greens.

It was a good thing that this was not a Player vs Player server, Qindaar nuked the hell out if the fellow player to get his attention, but it was too late.  They apologized but once again, too late.

I RL, Vmalice is quite busy with work and Valmantia as well, I hope to see them both online soon.

Success and Failure

EQ 16th AnnivThis morning Qindaar killed and Ancient Risen and scored the piece of flesh he needed to complete the pouch to spawn the Blood Hound. Qindaar raced back to the Mech Fortress to spawn the hound only to meet with failure twice while the hound escorted him to the next quest.  Exasperated, Qindaar will rest for a while and rebuild his buff’s before heading out again.  May have to reach out to VMalice for a hand, too many attack at once to keep the hound alive.
